The Legend of the Grammar Bunch

Once upon a time a new world came forth in the vast etherspace known as "Net". With this world's birth came the people who populated it, with the ability to create and destroy anything from the size of a mote of dust up to entire villages or worlds within the world.

Unfortunately, many of these people could not spell for beans.

In self defense, a league of +Grammar Nazis did spring up, dedicated to battling atrocities in spelling, grammar, and punctuation. These GN, as they came to be known, did wander the world, seeking out glaring offenses to their eyeballs, and did wage an @mail war to stamp out these hideous errors when found.

Their credo: "It's is not, it isn't ain't, and it's it's, not its, if you mean it is. If you don't, it's its. Then too, it's hers. It isn't her's. It isn't our's either. It's ours, and likewise yours and theirs." (Thanks to zingdol)

Just a few comments:

Nobody is exempt from the watchful eye of the Grammar Nazis. As a result, the Grammar Allies were born. This small force of horrible spellers wage war on the Grammar Nazis. They don't care how they speel things, and none of them owns a dikshuneary. They frequently commit purposeful spelling errors just to watch the GN grind their teeth in agony.

What war would be complete without the neutral forces, though? Enter the Grammar Fuzzies. Like Yoda they speke, like Chaucer they spele. In the war eternal between Grammar Nazi and Grammar Ally, Switzerland they are. Correctly speak they, but sound they damn strange. Obviously a strange bunch, but they are necessary in order to round out the grammar experience of Aurora.

And that is the story of the Grammar Bunch.
